Why We Built This Site
King and Queen County uses separate Circuit, General District, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations courts. The clerk named on a citation or order can locate the court file, while the Sheriff’s Office serves criminal process. Virginia’s Online Case Information System can help find eligible cases, but it is not a complete active-warrant list. A result or an empty search is not a final status answer. The county’s rural structure also matters: no incorporated towns means no city police department or municipal court to search. This reference points to the official court, sheriff, and records-request channels without claiming to decide a case.
What You Will Find Here
- Case search: the warrant search page explains OCIS name, case-number, and hearing-date routes.
- Warrant types: the active, bench, arrest, traffic, and municipal-court pages explain local court routing and process terms.
- Case follow-up: readers can learn which clerk to call, what an FTA event means, and how to ask about recall or a new appearance.
- Public access: Virginia FOIA and juvenile-record limits affect which records can be released.
- Local scope: King and Queen County has no incorporated towns or municipal courts, so nearby city systems are outside this county reference.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a Virginia court, county office, sheriff, or state agency. Its limits are important:
- This reference cannot run an official check or confirm current warrant status.
- Only the return court can recall or change court process.
- No bond or court payment is accepted here.
- No surrender, hearing date, or walk-through can be arranged through this site.
- Nothing here is legal advice about a particular case.
- Office hours, fees, and court procedures can change, so confirm them with the office.
The return court confirms whether process is active, recalled, or served. The Sheriff’s Office can answer service questions, but only the court can change its order.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are operated by outside providers. A provider sets its own fees, data rules, and search results. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid service, this site may receive a referral payment. Those results are not official King and Queen court records and do not replace a call to the return clerk.
